The Short Answer
Filler correction begins with diagnosis—not automatic dissolving. The provider evaluates the product used, injection timing, anatomy, symptoms, photographs and whether the concern is excess volume, migration, edema, nodules, infection, asymmetry or a time-sensitive vascular complication.
Candidacy
People with a stable, non-emergency concern after prior filler may be candidates for observation, hyaluronidase when suitable, medical treatment, referral or a staged correction plan. Prior records and exact product information are valuable.
Do not wait for a routine appointment if there is severe or increasing pain, pale, gray or dusky skin, coolness, vision change, severe headache, weakness or stroke-like symptoms. Those symptoms require urgent medical evaluation. Hyaluronidase is not appropriate for every filler or problem and can cause allergic reactions.

The provider reconstructs what was injected, where, when and how symptoms evolved. Photos and records are reviewed when available.
A careful examination distinguishes aesthetic dissatisfaction from infection, delayed inflammation, nodules or vascular injury.
Options may include observation, hyaluronidase for selected HA filler, medical treatment, ultrasound-guided care or referral. Re-filling is delayed until tissues can be judged safely.
Informed Choice
Dissolving can remove wanted and unwanted HA, produce unevenness, swelling or bruising, and rarely cause allergic reaction. Correction cannot guarantee restoration of the pre-filler appearance. Non-HA products, scar tissue, infection and vascular injury require different management.

Common Questions
No. Hyaluronidase acts on hyaluronic-acid filler, not products such as calcium hydroxylapatite or poly-L-lactic acid. Even HA correction may require more than one session.
Only after inflammation and swelling settle and the provider can reassess anatomy. Rushing to refill can obscure the problem or recreate imbalance.
Vision changes, severe or worsening pain, skin blanching or discoloration, weakness, trouble speaking or severe headache require immediate emergency evaluation.
